John Stanton I really can’t express how much I like this band. This is the second platform I’ve bought all of their music on and I’m so happy to support them. Easily one of the best prog albums I’ve heard from a newer band in a while! These guys need to go on a tour with btbam because as a fellow btfam I will guarantee they will love these guys as much as I do! Favorite track: Right Side of the Brain.

(Music: Bucio Lyrics: Bucio/Mobarry) Come, all of you come See the birth of the boy who’ll do anything To make you smile I’d like to see you smile When the wind carried your intentions away I took a hard, long, still, long look in the mirror And forgot you that day You’re never far away, and I say… Stay in your everyday life ‘Cause I never asked why you cried ‘Cause I lied Lie, lie, lie Strange days are coming But you wouldn’t know ‘Cause you are the best friend That I’ve come to know So never a goodbye Lie, lie, lie (I only go outside, I go outside only if rain)
2.
(Music: Bucio/Gregg/Mobarry Lyrics: Mobarry) "Can art exist without an artist? The answer…is yes! …And we could end it right there, but let’s ponder this for a moment. Do you ever really think on how the new becomes old, how the old becomes new, and what’s at the center of it all? And, please, recognize with me that each of these statements, these thoughts, if you break them down, leave you in the end with, really, nothing but words. Words upon words upon words upon words, too many words! So, in the following exercise, crafted by us just for you, on the origin of where stories come from: Please turn to the first page, first line with me, loud and clear: 'Tomorrow is today’s new home!'"
3.
(Music: Bucio/Gregg/Mobarry Lyrics: Mobarry) Say you want a little taste of something wicked Lives sing to the soil in the wreckage of The giants destroying our homes Eat them all, delicious sheep Capture the big man, watch us feed You are in ruin, heated meat For this, we must come down from our cloud Your life, it desecrates our vow In the name of all that is now BOW DOWN! And so you’ve all convened right here The message, the message isn’t clear There’s something wrong here Something’s wrong here Find your friends They’re scattered about the houses In pieces and parts, postmodernist art I’m missing the vital, most important part There’s no heart And if I start, good lord, I’ll – I’ll start! In the cavern of a soul Where there used to be a heart My world is falling apart Closer now than I’ve ever felt You know how much I love you so But if you stay right here, you’ll have to go You’d walk away If you had half the mind (If you have the mind, if you halve the kind) Friends tell me friends are simpler I don’t want to believe Friends tell me friends are simpler I don’t want to believe In spite of all, we lay besieged Sometimes I want to watch them leave Dead don’t need no time to grieve Who asked you, you wrinkled fiend? Silence before me Who can steep the rebellion’s fall? I want to go home But I’m closer now than I’ve ever felt You know how much I love you so But if you stay right here, you’ll have to go So find your way Before you lose your mind So I hold sides Watch their dreams become Something more than life Because I never felt quite the same Since that night, that night When the sun comes down on our every day You will know you’re in trouble soon When a life asks what living life is for Do not give it an answer soon With a future so bold, every problem’s foretold There is no chance we are doomed For the pounding of our sacred hearts Will find us an answer soon, so come on now When the sun comes down on our every day You will know you’re in trouble soon When a life asks what living life is for Do not give it an answer soon With a future so bold, every problem’s foretold There is no chance we are doomed For the pounding of our sacred hearts Will find us the answer soon And when the moon, he whispers I’m right We’ll be fine, they’re coming Now we do the dance of those who have no chance (Silence) “A shepherd feasts on his misshapen flock in masses” Let me show you the words – Listen: Hey, okay Flaunt the loss of love today Ohhh, I should’ve done it yesterday Hey, okay Flaunt the loss of love today Hey, okay Hahahaha! Feel the spirits crushed beneath the wheels Hey, okay Got nothin’ to say anyway I could’ve done it yesterday Hey, okay Flaunt the loss of love today Hey, you’ll say As I take your life away Final hour baptisms Just to feed on the blights Damn the portcullis We walk into danger tonight I have come now to relieve Our blessed father, that wretched father The ace up the devil’s sleeve And should we perish here tonight They threaten all that we’ve strived for, our way of life Ahhh, do you hear ‘em calling? (Do you?) They’re psalms of war You betrayed our Father’s word He will come for us, as he always has and will Into the chapel, Father forgive them And on we drive, and on we drive They cannot stop us with hearts alive And on we ride, and on we ride We cannot stop them with hearts alive The reverie to quell the giants is silence

(Music: Gregg/Mobarry
Lyrics: Mobarry) It’s creeping on us, it’s creeping on us, it’s on me
It’s creeping on you, it’s creeping on you, it’s here
Is this the life that you lead?
Your greatest fear in the shape of A wasp, a death, a virus, a silence Twisting neurons, skinning gears Is this the life you leave on? And then it’s gone… “If your call could not be completed as dialed - Good!” ‘Cause I’m going nowhere, and you are coming with me If anyone asks, shoot me a call sometime For evidence of the right side of your Mind mind, take your time time For we each have a truth, and I found mine My brain falls prey to the center my heart defines (Don’t place trust in a weary mind) There’s no time, there’s no shelter
When you’re the one you’re hiding from You’ll always be a step behind Now there’s no pride, pride nor character Praying to my youth that drowned in gaslights on high So pack up your stuff, get on the bus That’ll throw ‘em off, empathy is divine I will hold congress with a legislative act Involving the right side of my brain Going nowhere, in one direction If anyone laughs, shoot me a call sometime For confidence in the right side of your Mind mind, take your time time time Avert your eyes, and then you look back
Energize the synapse for a counterattack There’s something I’m missing
Something that’s keeping me from what I want to be (I’ll stay home today) When the watch’s face you recognize
Over the colour of your lover’s eyes It’s time time, take your life life Am I free tonight? You can’t fix a noose with a bandage My watch stops, my watch ticks My watch stops So welcome to the end of time
(Trust me, he says that every time…)
As with all of our clients, Here’s a performance review of your life - It says here…
Save your opinions for where children can reach them
I pronounce you, now and forever, out of the loop
(AHHHHHHHHH) Relax, this isn’t the end!
Take a couple deep breaths in, and out again
With a crash, and a big, big bang Nobody goes to school today With a mind like that, decreeing its own truths? (Why, he could rule them all) “Now if I am dead, that kind of poses a problem I’m a busy guy with places to go, you understand” Our author’s hand has inked your end
 Wander on, you lonely man
It’s circles, mislabeled, unable, disable Words are merely offspring of our mutters given cages
Uttered without care, these simple weapons rendered nations to burn
Teach us lessons of a death that comes in stages
The horrors of a wordsmith trapped within the author’s pages
Words are merely offspring of our mutters given cages
The horrors of a wordsmith trapped within the author’s pages

(Music: Bucio/Mobarry
Lyrics: Mobarry) "You were never truly out of the desert’s reach. Its restless, dried nails dug deep into the ocean trenches lining its shores. They were as an amoeba would be, if traveling from the fingernail to the ear. The amoeba summoned fire, would mimic the sun overhead. With this signal the goats began to convene. One by one, over the horizon they came – First two, then four, then six, and finally, eight of the horned creatures arrived." The calm sunlight whispers The horns come in numbers As we wait in frigid desert sweats The goats, the goat knows Now we approach with armed, wary eyes And bated breath, what could they want from me (from us)? They shift, the herd, their minds coalesce into one (Knowing us, knowing all, knowing what, knowing why) Octagram arise in the sky Humanity’s despair alive But would you stay far away From this place of merciless space? Would you smile in awe so bright Before the sum of mankind’s disgrace? My arms are damaged from holding you up I’m so tired of caring for you But if this burden revolves, I’ll care for you all ‘Til the end, it’s true (You know it’s true) I’m not one known to trifle with your trivialities No, I have come here to settle for impatient miseries Our antiquities predate histories (He’s not one, he’s not one Get away from this space) Oh, girl, your tears mean the world to me If you’re looking for a pretty good time You haven’t found it yet An answer to the meaning of life? Oh, please You disturb my rest (His rest) Just like all the rest (The rest) Before I turn that smile inside out Tell me, what’s this all about? “Guardian of the north Soul of many in one
Beseech us with your beauty As penance for how far we've come” Pretty (so pretty)
A little sadness goes a long way
In the city (in the city) Look how far you’ve come to be an other, or a no one But I’ve never felt so alive before you, singing and dancing Oh, put that boy up on a screen and see what he would scream The shapes he makes, the ways he squirms is worth it, wouldn’t you agree? You can’t talk shit if a friend don’t lie (A friend don’t lie?) A friend don’t lie You can’t talk shit if a friend don’t lie Well, everybody lies They call you out, blind, withholding mercy
My children abhorred, decadence be done for
The dead smile only in rain (In pain!)
The heart that you lack, an emotionless art attack
From a burdened and burgeoning son
Keep on your feet, ‘cause no matter how sweet
You always will fall for that one
When you’re done, I’ll see you in the battle for the sun (Now this is the part where things started to get…weird)
Don’t cross the line; We are of fearful kind I never was a boastful god But don't you try your luck Consider yourselves the privileged, the honoured, making history To watch me destroy it and not give a Funny you should ask (Haha!) For penance from the desert plain I cradle the thoughts of a whole species Their vanity insane Don’t cross the line, or enter the realm of all things divine Where the thoughts are all Mine, mine, mine, mine! Creature from the north on high Let us take you higher still We have friends in higher places Let’s go have a couple of drinks, we got the bill May your souls now tremble, my friends For eternity is never afraid
An affront to the glory of our earthly story
She outshines us all in her way (every day)
She follows me home, yet I made her lead me
And leave me for her sister night
May the light of her fire consume myself, the liar
She remains, wholly and truly, my guiding light There’s no love in this temple But there’s now joy in this heart, his heart It’s useless to deny it But how can I survive this? Ahhh - We are undone So long, goodbye We had some fun (a whole lotta fun)
But now it’s time to go We wish you the best (and all the rest) It’s just been nice to see how you’ve grown But still, I know Closer now than I’ve ever felt Bright eyes burn Man taught gods to learn to love To save your world Plot the course we will travel on, swiftly May her stars guide the way Hold your loved ones close, let your stories grow It could save your world, world Someday, some way, somehow I will shine with the sun

Foxjune 04:28
(Music: Gregg/Mobarry
Lyrics: Mobarry) I willed you to be From the skin of a tree From the magnolia to the tallest of oaks Even they could see That the branch grew from me But can I speak for me? I want me to, believe you me Lighting up just to lighten up And I’m sizing up my option Do I panic, or do I panic worse?
I looked in my eyes and I saw myself breaking So slow down, little birdie Don’t fly away so soon Run away where wings can’t follow Like flightless birds hatched on the morrow I bade you none a proper farewell So, in your memory I remember the way you used to hold me down And I remember the day you turned my life around Until you all skipped town Went six feet under the ground No, I can’t take this No, I can’t be this Evermore By god, this city’s on fire (Home) Evermore Don’t let me tell you all about me I could lie to myself My memories lying behind a shelf When you look back, do you feel anything? Can you look back at all? If you saw me like this, you’d laugh And all at once may we remember it all So slow down, little birdie Don’t fly away so soon
So fly high, my little birdie
The rest is up to you

(Music/Lyrics: Bucio/Mobarry) You wanna write my song? (Just try to sing along) Who told you? Told you I was looking for help? Who told you? ‘Cause when you’re right, you’re always right And when we’re tight, it’s always tight I slip into the makeshift light And pretend that it’s all over, no (For any questions, please call:) Mr. Peace-Pipe, He’s-Right Pillow blockin’ last night said He ain’t worked since last light What a fuckin’ sad sight What could it mean? So it goes: I’m missing mp3s from years 1, 2, and 3 And since I’m not that clever Just sing the words we all remember (Take me back to the world) Tell me why (Why) I’m sweet and sour inside Gave it the good old college try Baby, tell me why (Tell me why) Yeah! You wanna take a picture? I can tell For the brain doesn’t tend to hold up well Live up to me, give up for me Mr. Life-Before-Dream And from way up here, it can get hard to breathe Is getting down to the sound of a “1, 2, 3” Something that you believe? Oh, this is a lot to take in (Take me back to the world Tell me why) Take me back to my life Sight make love to sound For none of us will be around forever Makes it easy to say Even after death, I walk away (Breathe in Breathe, rest your lungs) You’ll say tomorrow will be okay (Breathe in) All just to get you to go away Bow-wow! Aye-aye! Captain Mind… It’s about damn time! To shake what’s yours And take what’s mine (If you feel like you’re gonna be Something you don’t wanna be Why won’t you answer me? I don’t know) Ah, we’re invincible Just irresistible Forged on the principle We’re the Democrat Utilitarians Narrative Cesarean Socially embarrassing If life leads like the night feeds We’ll conquer everything, then you’ll see Endlessly, what it’s like to be just like me To be me again, alright Give me space to be who I want to be And steel yourselves, there will be no stopping us now So breathe in Breathe, rest your lungs Breathe out again Even after death, I (Breathe in, breathe in) There’s so much life in me But all of us go (all of us go) Grey and gone, so Breathe out again Even after death, I live again I know tomorrow will be okay

Tomes 03:17
(Music: Bucio/Gregg/Mobarry Lyrics: Mobarry) Man stands, in the center of his hearth. He is old, but in the late hours he can still be found tinkering away, with mind and fingers alike and aflutter. “What a journey. Creativity remains a motion, worn down by unnecessary hands.” And through his hands, he watched his child glisten. (An endless imprinting and reprinting. Conclusion: freedom.) “I had a dream, last night, That a plane stopped, Hovering right over my town - …And, dropped a bomb out the back… And, instead of worrying about the people within the blast radius - The people who would die first - …I worried about myself. …And only thought, about… ‘What if the flames would stop, before they got to me?’” And so, he – the father, the teacher, the monster – now rose to belief. Death was not his friend. He believed that he had snuck past Death, and conquered Self – and so he turned inward. Death followed him into the open spaces. Into his self-imposed catacomb, where tombs house the dead alone, he had been followed. What would you do if the universe stopped? (Followed… Who's there?)

Tombs 04:01
AUTHOR, CHAPTER I (Music: Gregg/Mobarry
Lyrics: Mobarry) The day I fell from grace And words lose power evermore “You once fancied this space” I gesture to the floor This is your home Obliged to your seclusion I pictured you in positions plenty Mouth agape In your greatest escape And I was your perfect little metaphor Somehow I’m sure I’ll be buried here, in the written word before me An author’s final story This is your home Where tombs house the dead alone (Alone) The hand that fails the wrist Can’t let the body do its work And should that hand become the fist Fill it with a quill, it does the trick That’s what you said to me In our pasts tense I’m your better half I’ve been your author all along And what lies written must come out My love, my friend Besides, don’t you wanna hear my song?
10.
AUTHOR, CHAPTER II (Music/Lyrics: Bucio/Mobarry) “He’s the man with a pen and a plan Standing over with wallops in hand When all hope is lost, you’ll count all your costs For these are the Tales of the Nebulous Man!” The tales, tall tales - Nebulous Man! You are not among the selfless Closer now than I have Closer now than I’ve been "'The Tales of Nebulous Man, Volume Two' begins here, on the bridge of The Plight of Proxy..."
11.
Well-Read 06:54
AUTHOR, CHAPTER III (Music/Lyrics: Bucio/Gregg/Mobarry) “Oh, lemme tell ya, you think YOU have a hard time with your significant other? Well, how about when you find out YOURS is an egotistical supervillain, bent on tearing a hole in the universe? Hard to beat, huh? Just lemme get some of this off my chest, will ya? If you don’t mind…” Don’t you know The look on my face is something to chase? Don’t you know When I knew your intellectual kiss Would be something I’d miss Don’t you know? Here’s a list of the things I’m missing: Not how you used to write Ooh, but how you used to be right Don’t you know (How you used to be bright) You can’t divide me, you don’t define me You merely burn me And I am lost, my body’s shakin’ And I’m having a good time Sleeping through the alarm Now the secret’s out Everybody needs a little bit of Something to forget about When your patience is locked in, and clocked out Everybody needs a little bit of Something to forget about So when the left seems right And your thoughts drift in the night Tell me how to feel the burn From a sun that gives no light Much more sensible than I And you’ll quickly find out that he’s not that type of guy Now I’m head of the class of sass Are you listening? And this is what he said: Teach me to read and listen
(You’re not ready)
Can I learn to love or not yet? My eyes have been through so many texts
That if I grabbed a new pen
I’d probably write ‘til I’m dead Pages empty, stories plenty “Now, if there’s one thing I know, a story like this one is no good one-sided, so might I offer you his perspective - but don’t say I didn't warn you first…” And all I ever wanted was to be someone He shook his head, and plainly said There would be no help from anyone And as I keep on marching through these fields of hell I thought:
“I’m gonna give it to someone else” Tell ‘em I’ll be lookin’ for someone else Lookin’ for someone else But who, but who? Tell ‘em I’ll be lookin’ for someone else Someone else Tell ‘em I’ll be lookin’ for someone else Someone else Oh, give me the respect that I have coming Or else I’ll… I’ll be lookin’ for someone else Tell ‘em I’ll be lookin’ for someone else So to all the fears, and children’s tears Of mine will fall away Don’t fall out of line, just stay up on mine The one thing we’ve got left to own us is time No fun, let’s drink some blood Don’t strike too fast, you’ll strike the master’s blade All that I see, all that I fear All that I hear They say that love comes in bursts That blood comes in streams And if so, then what’s this water rushing over me? (Isn’t this really something? No? Then au revoir, and thanks for nothing) “Now, in my part of town There’s nobody around Just some repetitive sounds It’s where the teenagers drown So when I crash to the ground My place in history crowned Watch the clocks all go down And just say: ‘Go on, take a bite of me now’” Tomes house the dead alone, girl But you’re standing on your own, girl What would you do if the universe stopped? Go on, say goodbye to me now In an alternate future, I’m forty and homeless And that timeline travels the same rate as this one
So how, when the future collides with the present
Can I find the strength to love someone again? I CAN’T The answer is I WON’T
For you are not among the selfless
You are not among the selfless
I’m the one of which they speak All rise for the entrance of my lord The illusion of conclusion that defines us all (Blood comes flowing from the stables) Your last chance lies aboard the Plight of Proxy Blood comes raining from the garden

AUTHOR, CHAPTER IV (Music/Lyrics: Mobarry) The porch was never bigger than it felt outside that night It was hard to see your, your everything But I could see my friends hush away and leave me be The moment I was waiting for was waiting now on me Making it strike and making it chime are two different things She looked happier than I had ever seemed Oh, how I long to be So careless and free, baby You were in love, you were in love You don’t ever change Don't ever change Every night, you and me We’d sit under the stars And wonder why we are not going far And if you get cold while you’re being alone You can warm these old bones The moment I was waiting for was waiting now on me Making it strike and making it chime are two different things She looked happier than I had ever seemed You don’t ever change The moment I was waiting for was waiting now on me Making her smile and making her cry Were constants in my, constants in my life Every night, you and me We’d sit under the stars And wonder why we are not going far This is your home When I said “Fuck it,” I knew it was right And the porch was never bigger than it felt outside that night
13.
AUTHOR, CHAPTER V (Music/Lyrics: Bucio/Gregg/Mobarry) You were wondering all the while But boy, did you make me smile Life is calling you back at home Becomes anywhere we go Anywhere you go, I’ll follow you What would you do if the universe stopped? What would you do if the universe stopped? Tick tock, tick tock What would you do if the universe stopped? Ran out of time, ran its clock Tick tock, tick tock I’ll let you know when it sinks I’ll let you know when it sinks I’ll let you know when it sinks too deep, and (Alive!) We’ve come so much closer (Alive!) We breathe the rest of our lives You better come around Your story’s written down You better come around In the days that we’ve uncovered, we’re alone amongst ourselves In the page that we’ve recovered here, a new beginning Our dreams play out in sequence, a pitter-patter on piano keys  What would you do if the universe stopped? I’m falling back on, on all I’ve ever known  But I’ll never be alone I’ll let you know when it sinks I’ll let you know when it sinks I’ll let you know when it sinks too deep, and (Alive!) We’ve come so much closer We breathe the rest of our lives You better come around Your story’s written down (Alive, we’ve come so much closer) You better come around “And I’m closer now, than I’ve ever felt!” Yeah, tomorrow is today’s new home Don’t leave me here all alone When I’m falling back on all I’ve known All along, this was my home The closest I have ever been

about

The long-awaited, hotly-anticipated new concept album from experimental art collective and prog newcomers OTHERS BY NO ONE.
75 minutes of extreme music connected by a series of short stories coming October 22nd on physical mediums and to your music streaming platform of choice.

The album’s narrative explores the story of a reclusive writer who, believing he is being followed around by a mysterious stalker, begins writing his pursuer into his own work — only to find that the stories he creates are beginning to come alive. As both the author and the stranger fight to survive as characters in a series of bizarre fictional adventures, they slowly begin to look inward and do battle with their own personal demons - as our protagonist is in constant danger of being consumed by the very art to which he’s dedicated his life.

Vocalist/composer Max Mobarry had this to say of the final product and next entry in the BOOK series:
“It’s finally here. It makes us so very happy that you, reading this, have made it through this pandemic with us; and, as well, the wait for this big bastard of a CD, which is now complete.
We'd like to thank Jamie King for his everlasting kindness mixing and mastering over 75 minutes of absolute chaos, and for relentlessly demonstrating that he is the best of the best.
I also must always mention Eddie Ruff and RuffRecords Studio, where we did it all ourselves -- Eddie was practically a member of the band in the sessions recording this album together, his contributions are integral to the album's sound and his commitment to the project ensured its being properly brought into the world in the first place.

Not only is this project a cornerstone of all of our careers and lives, and the many stories it tells reflecting on these past years and all the love we received putting out the Breacher stuff… It’s a beacon to all of my fellow artists who come across it.
I loved creating all these characters, and exploring this album’s two main personalities - but beyond the literal interpretations, or even my real-world inspirations for them, I’ve come to view ‘BOOK II’ as a monolithic statement of liberation that hits on a personal level. To anyone who creates things, or has personally struggled in coming to terms with their own identity (as I have in the years since ‘BOOK I’); this album is for you.

Strange days are coming... :)”

Closer now than we’ve ever felt.
